40+ Volunteers give a hand to serve our guests and to prepare the retreat center for the season ahead Spring Work Weekend was amazing as the weather cleared and our devoted ministry friends eagerly shared their gifts and talents. 3 work crews tackled project lists with creativity, determination and happy hearts. More than 50 volunteers played a significant role in our March Madness work weekend. The all-star team pulled together to prepare the retreat center for the season ahead. Spring Work Weekend was great fun for all those who participated. It was so exciting to see the work groups tackle their assigned projects with such wonderful creativity, enthusiasm and laughter. Respect – although Barren Height’s volunteers and facilities are here to serve you and to meet your needs, we expect your courtesy and respect. Treat the volunteers the way Christ would treat them. Treat the buildings and grounds in a similar manner. We desire to cultivate and maintain a Christian environment that enables our guests and our volunteers to glorify the Lord. Our Mission is simply to love and encourage families.  We do this by providing free mini-vacation style weekend retreats for families with physically or developmentally disabled children!
